About the Role
The Transport Engineering team at Gojek is responsible for providing the best-in-class experience to the customers of our ride and car businesses. A stellar team of cross-functional individuals is responsible for delivering top-of-the-line experiences across ordering, payments, navigation, and customer support. This team’s ownership spans technology products catering to millions of our customers across all our operating countries and is responsible for running the show for Gojek’s biggest business lines.
We are looking for engineering leaders who have hands-on experience in building highly reliable distributed systems. As a Senior Technical Leader, you will create the vision for and build technical capabilities across backend systems, android, and ios apps. The successful candidate will have influence over the vision, features, and design of the critical systems and data used to drive the business.
About the Team
Our Transport team is a big family of 100+ members made up of engineers, product managers, designers, and data analysts spread out across Jakarta, Bangalore, and Singapore. We run Southeast Asia’s leading and fastest-growing ride-hailing business and oversee all things related to our rider’s needs in daily transport and work daily to create solutions to these issues.
We know how to work hard and play harder. Though working from home has been a significant change, it hasn’t made work boring - in fact, we’ve been enjoying this new work setup more than we expected! When we aren’t busy working, you’d probably find us playing online games like Among Us and Sketchful, or catching up with each other on our virtual hangouts. Being remote, the team has of course struggled to get common face time slots in person, but we never let go of opportunities to catch up for a beer or coffee in whichever city/town folks can get together in. We work as a team to get our job done well, and genuinely enjoy each other's company.
