As a Product Management Leader in the GoPay team, you will be responsible for setting direction and driving major strategic and product initiatives. You will have significant strategic impact and influence the direction of the company, as well as direct responsibility for new products and those already loved by millions of users. We are seeking a strategic and innovative Product Manager to own 1-3 product streams with minimal support and lead a small team of junior PMs within the owned product streams ensuring predictability, quality & throughput of their streams and direct reports’ delivery. You must demonstrate a strategic approach to what matters to the business, an ability to lead through influence, and a talent for prioritizing quickly in ambiguity. The purpose of this role is to bring world-class e-commerce expertise to the online businesses, drive an increase in profitability, reduce the consumer adoption curve, and creatively take the online shopping experience everywhere commerce exists.
Define, lead and execute holistic strategy to work towards business goals; collaborate across regions, product areas and functionsAggregates and assess product feedback and feature requests to identify unmet customer needs and opportunitiesManage short-term focused market and customer research regarding product acceptance, usage and success and integrate results directly into the product planning activitiesLeverage user research, usability studies, market research, experiments and data analysis and translate them into requirements that solve real problems for a large set of users. Dedicate part of their time supporting direct PM reports and part of their time delivering products. Guides & supports stream team members to ensure they're doing their best workOwns OKRs and drives strategy & roadmap for their stream(s), ensuring alignment with OKRs and strategy for their streamsParticipates in prioritization of cross-stream initiatives and leads those within their own stream(s)Structures and leads strategic conversations/meetings with cross-functional stakeholders. Proactively shares information and actually solicits feedbackActively builds trust and teamwork and resolves sensitive issues within their product stream(s). Builds a culture of feedbackAdvocates for resourcing and staffing needs within their stream. Acts as a hiring manager for direct reports and participates in the hiring process by interviewing candidates, submitting referrals, attending recruiting events and/or presenting externallyContribute to the API/SDK strategy of the companyCoordinate with support / third party vendors whenever required
Experience and Skills
A Bachelor’s / Masters or an equivalent degree, preferably in engineering or managementAt least 4 years of product management experience in delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products with stellar design taste and product instinctsYou have the ability to break down complex problems, identify use cases and solutions that can be reused across multiple areasAbility to organizes and allocate tasks to the junior team membersDemonstrated ability to apply frameworks to make and justify product/prioritization decisions (eg Jobs to be done, story mapping, ICE)Demonstrates a nuanced understanding of data, design & research, software engineering and business processes and partners effectively with those teamsYou’re fluent in English and have superior communication skills with the ability to weave strategy, insights, priorities and plan forward into a structured and organised storyline at all levels of managementStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, featuresHigh attention to detail, ability to insist on high standards and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervisionWork experience in the internet / eCommerce / Financial / Payments industry is preferred
