QA Leader would need to lead and implement the test strategy for automation as well as manual by working closely with the product engineering group. They would also work on the latest cutting-edge internet/software technology. What you'll do
Own the overall quality of the product and feature being released to productionDefine and design the testing strategy of overall GopayLead and guide QA managers / leads of smaller QA teams functioning in different feature teams of the organisationResponsible for planning and getting implemented the Test Automation strategy across all layers of the product which should include UI, Integration and Unit TestingParticipate in all the interviews, training and evaluation sessions of QA LeadsMentoring the QA Leads in leadership and management skillsHave the onus of analysing the team processes and proposing new ideas to improvise the existing process which best suits the team and product qualityAct as a bridge between the QA function and other stakeholders, leaders of different functions and discuss team’s and technical issuesDefine and set standards for various testing processes like Test Case Creation, Bug Reporting Mechanism, Coding Practices in AutomationEnsuring the development and product team adheres to different practices and guidelines as defined by the Testing StrategyResponsible for collecting, analyzing and creating reports on different data and metrics related to testing, bugs and automation coverageAnalyse the tools and technologies being used by the QA Team to perform manual and automation testing. Encourage team members to learn and use the latest technologies.Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.Act as the primary point of contact for all the discussions related to the QA TeamGuide the QA Teams technically in following the testing methodologies, automation techniques and processesEnsuring the proper documentation of all the testing activities being conducted by the team which should become the knowledge base for new joineesResponsible for smooth onboarding of the new QA within any stream across the organisationProvide regular feedback to the QA Leads and the QA Team on all aspects of the qualityKeep a check on the infrastructure requirements for the QA Team, including the test environment, test devices, cloud services for test devices, and make sure that the QA Team is equipped with sufficient infrastructure.
What you'll need
12+ years of experience in the software testing domain with excellent leadership skillsShould have the experience of leading and managing a number of smaller QA teams in parallelExperience of owning, designing, defining, developing and implementing different testing and quality standards in the pastShould have technical expertise in guiding the development and QA teams in building and maintaining the processes and tools which ensure the quality of the productWorking knowledge of measuring different metrics and creating reports and dashboardsWorking knowledge of sprint planning and backlog management in JIRA and ConfluenceWorking knowledge of CI/CD, and how QA should be implemented in automated releaseShould have good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skillsMust have working knowledge of different testing technologies, methodologies, and automation tools
