About the Role
If you’re a data analyst at heart, this role may very well be for you! As our Data Analyst for the Marketplace team, you’ll be mining insights from the sea of data, building data products, and designing experiments with the ability to see the real-time impact of your contributions. You’ll get to work with a talented troop of business leads, product managers and fellow data folks, and spend a majority of your time diving deep into some of the most challenging analytical problems in the Gojek Marketplace - the brain that powers all of Gojek’s services - including Matchmaking, Supply, Demand, and Pricing streams.
About the Team
Our Marketplace Business Intelligence (BI) team comprises 20 Data Scientists and 10 Analysts based in Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangalore. We leverage our expertise and skills in data and analytics to solve some of Gojek’s core and most crucial issues within matchmaking, supply, demand, and pricing on a daily basis.
Some of the questions that drive our work and ensure the reliability of our marketplace include: What’s the best driver incentive scheme given budget and supply targets? How can pricing be adjusted to maximize revenue? Why are drivers with certain characteristics more likely to complete long-distance trips than others?
Our team has worked on several key projects that impact the baseline of our platform. Some of these projects include the advent of Jaeger, our multi-objective matchmaking system, dynamic surge pricing, and a supply positioning tool that aids our driver-partners in positioning themselves strategically when they're on the field.
As a team, we’re concerned not only with the growth of the company, but each other’s personal growth and wellbeing, too. With WFH becoming more commonplace, our team works to prioritize different ways to maintain a healthy work-life balance more than ever before. Badminton and table tennis are current favorites, and we all share a love of hiking. That said, we do fancy ourselves a good Netflix binge every now and then 😉.
